Big 12 North

who wins it? it looks like it is down to 3, or 2 or who knows? One thing is sure, the best HC is proving to be a retro choice as Snyder is doing one heck of a job with a bunch of retread juco's and mirrors. he is just a professional HC and will make the rest of the games against a falling fast KU and rebuilding NU and MU hard to judge. One thing is for certain, he will have his team ready to exploit all the obvious weaknesses of these very vulnerable teams. Having two baby qb's to scheme against at NU and MU and a weak oline at KU? Snyder will be in a feeding frenzy.

Now we will see what HC's steps up and who steps down. This is when the HC earns his huge paycheck. Going to be a fun ride.

I looked at some senarios this weekend and my friend and I (we are clearly dorks) figured a way for KSU to win the north with a 4-4 record and still not be bowl eligible. Because 2 or thier 6 wins would be against 1-AA opponents. How freakin crazy is that. The North winner could possibly not even be bowl eligible.

I can easily see tie breakers being reviewed going into the final week of the season. Crazy north...

I think the craziest thing was Reesing being benched this weekend while the game was still within reach. That's liable to mess with his head. There's just nobody that wants to take the north. Missouri seems to be in good shape.

Crazy North? How about absolutely friggin pathetic North?

personally i love the chaotic north as everyone takes their turn stepping in the toilet. my fervent wish is that KSU win it just for the effect it would have but would like NU to win it just so they get to play TX in Dallas. as for tigers? they took a bullet last two yrs, time for someone else but they could win out fairly easily. but you just don't know with baby qb's, just like the fans here are torn over the obvious choice green. to me you have to play him, knowing he is going to make lots of mistakes, lee is just not that good and won't be here in two years when it will matter.

Picture this, Todd heshouldwinheisman Reesing running for his life, again, at the hands of this Dline! Suh and Crick are going to get them some! Not sure if todd survives the game.

going to be a fun final 4 weeks! winner gets the prize of a free trip to Dallas tx for the opportunity to take a major beatdown by Longhorns, oh joy!

Mu's schedule gets easier but who knows really. they could easily lose a few more. super young team that makes plenty of mistakes.

I am with you on benching Reesing. Two weeks ago the fat man was talking Heisman for his QB, now he sits him with 7 mins left in the 4th in a two score game with the ball. He is the best QB the school has ever seen. So much for their historic season. KU might not win again this year. They have Texas, MU, NE and KSU left. 07 is looking more and more like a fluke every day for Mangino. They were 40 seconds from 6-6 last year. Now making a bowl is in question.

I could have made the under statement of the year with that one.

Just one scenerio.....

K St has not lost at home and they get KU and MU in the little apple

Kansas St 3-2.....beats KU and MU but loses to NU...........5-3

Nebraska 2-2.....loses to OU and beats KSU, KU and CU..5-3

Iowa St 2-3........loses to OKST and beats CU and MU.......4-4

Missouri 1-3........loses to KSU and ISU and beats KU........2-6

Kansas 1-3.........loses to KSU, Texas, NU and MU............1-7

Colorado 1-3......loses to A&M, ISU, OKST and NU............1-7

If this would play out, we would get the tiebreaker and try to crush the Longhorns dreams in Jerry's house. Lone ways to go, but just saying......

no way mizzou loses to isu
Yeah, you're probably right, but I didn't think they had a chance to beat us either...

Irrelevant to the final standing, but here ya go....

If i were to handicap the last games I wouldnt know where to even start. Teams have been all over the place. But I think MU probably should beat ISU and Baylor. I think MU is better than KU, but you can never tell in that game. The one that I am most unsure of is KSU. I dont know what to make of that team. Mu gets them in 2 weeks at Manhatton after they play KU. Mu could go 4-0 and end up 5-3 or could go 2-2 and end up 3-5.

On that same note seeing what we have seen from NE the last 4 weeks, there is nothing that leads me to believe that they are going to go 3-1 to finish the season. I think NU finishes the last 4 games at 2-2. They could just as easily go 1-3 as they could 3-1. But that can be said for about any team at this point

it took 8 giveaways, actually like 6 of our own fault turnovers, for them to beat us. Yes it happened and we lost but seriously, that was a fluke. Gotta hand it to em tho.

Just like OU fans will be saying "I never knew how dominating Suh, Crick, and Co would be." We're gonna be forcing fumbles and batting down balls every drive.

Forgot the Baylor game Fro... so really 4-4 is probably the worse they can do, with 5-3 the best.

I agree that right now, it is hard to believe we will go 3-1 to finish the season. Gotta figure one of the Kansas teams will trip us up, even Colorado will likely be looking at the final game as their 'bowl game' and will be looking for blood.

But I'm also gonna buck the trend of the board lately and drink the preverbial kool-aid and assume we get our stuff together for the last third of the season. I think we have to stick with Green now and he will growup at the hands of the Sooner defense on Saturday. Yes he is still a true freshman, but he is a pretty good athlete that can develop into the leader we need on offense.
