Big 12 poll released

It will be a interesting year in the Big XII. I am excited to be included with the top teams and expected to win our division. This thing( :restore ) is coming together and it will be a fun and exciting ride.

GO BIG RED!!!

I think people discount Tech way to much. I dont think they have a chance on the national stage, but in the Big XII south, you only are gonna need big offensive numbers. They dont seem to concerned with D down there. Tech can Wing it with the best of 'em and have a better shot at the south than Texas does.

wow...i think I WILL go ahead and buy my Big XII championship game tickets then.

Nebraska's goin' and it's only a 30min. drive from my house!

GO BIG RED

look for OU to drop in these polls now that QB is a huge ???? since Bomar was released.
Yeah. I am kind of bummed, because I wanted us to play them in the Big XII title game. It would have been cool to see the rivalry in that game. But in the spring, I heard Bomar struggled and some juco QB was outplaying him, so maybe they will be fine. Still Texas has a frosh QB, so they will be inexperienced as well. OU has Peterson, and Texas has a few good running backs. The Red River Shootout just got more interesting.

I really don't see them dropping that far. Bomar did have some experience but so does Paul Thompson and they have a pretty good JUCO waiting in the wings to play QB. Plus they have the hardest running back in the nation (Peterson) and a pretty good defense. Bomar wasn't exactly a world beater behind center.

I don't think Paul Thompson will be the guy. He played horrible in that game last year vs. TCU, and I think he is better suited at WR, where he finished last year. It's not like Bomar was the next Heisman Trophy winner, but he knew the system.
