Husker won 2-1 ....Johnny Dorn (what a great baseball name) went the distance and shut down Tech.......Forget Freshman all-american , ..give this kid first team all class ALL AMERICAN

Because of Dorn's first complete game, a five-hitter, Nebraska advances to the semifinals, needing to defeat Missouri twice on Saturday to reach the championship game.

The first of what the Cornhuskers hope will be two Saturday games is set to begin at 1 p.m., or 40 minutes after Baylor and Texas play in the semifinals of the other bracket.

Texas is in the same position as Nebraska, needing to win twice.

Good for JD - what a year this kids had.

But damn, Im not sure how long we can rely on our ace's to hold teams to 1 freakin run. We may have to hope for an offensive explosion of 3 even 4 runs this afternoon. C'mon fellas, get that lumber crackin!!!

Huskers pull it out in the bottom of the ninth. Danial Bruce, the leadoff hitter, goes 4-5 and drives in the winning run on a single to left.

Huskers play Mizzou tonight at 7pm. This game will not be televised but on the radio. If they win they will play Baylor tomorrow and that game will be televised..........KEEP THE FAITH
