Nebraska will play Missouri in the first round on Thursday at 12:30. The game will be shown on ESPNU. All of this according to ESPN.com

 
Alright! I think we should have an above average shot at taking down scumbag-U. What seed are we anyways? Who is the toughest team in our bracket.. OSU or KU? KU has been stumbling of late so I wouldnt mind getting lined up with them in the semis. OSU will be tough to topple twice. Go Big RED!!!!

 
Nebraska is the ninth seed and we would have to play Oklahoma in the second round if we beat Missouri. Here is the bracket

Wow, Oklahoma really crept up on everyone to take the 1 seed. The 1-4 teams are all pretty solid. Nebraska won't be playing more than 1 game next weekend if they play like they did yesterday.

 
I project a 1-and-done for the Big Red. If we win I think it's still possible to get a home game in the NIT right?

I agree with you on the 1 and done part. I think the Big Red have to at least win 2 games to have any chance at a postseason game. If they beat Mizzou they have NO chance against OU.IMO

 
I think this game secured Barrys fate. I don't think he will be back. Good guy, not a Big time coach.IMO There is no reason the Big Red can't get past the first round of the Big 12 tourney.

 
There was a press conference after the game to announce that Barry is coming back. There would be like a $1,300,000 buy out if they fired him. After find it hard to believe that they will improve very much next year. He couldn't get it done in year 5 so I don't think year 6 will be any different.

 
Doesnt he finally have a few "big time" recruits coming in next year? Combine them with a Joe McCray and we may have something to build on. IMO it wouldnt make much sense to get rid of a guy that has his best class in his tenure on the way. Let him work with them over the next 1-2 yrs, and if we get stood up for the dance for the nth consecutive year, it will be time to move on.

Just face it guys.... Nebraska is not a basketball school, It's football. If you want basketball, need to drive about 45 minutes and go watch them Bluejays in Omaha.

That is bull s@#t what about OU. Remember when we where winning national championships in football and at least winning the NIT in B-Ball. And if we were playing in the MO valley Conf we would have more wins. But after todays game this is not the time to bench Jake as which Barry decided to do. It should have been done 10 games ago. Bring in Matt Daughtery

 
What about Wojo from Duke. He is second in line to take over the Blue Devils whenever coach K steps down. Im sure that he doesn't want to wait out Dawkins as well as coach K. He would definetly teach hard work and defense.
