Big East football is something of an anomaly

If you include the 2012 season, the Big East is 25-23 vs SEC since the formation of the BCS in 1998. 7-2 vs SEC in bowl games and 3-2 vs SEC in BCS bowl games. Former Big East schools are included from their respective time periods in these figures.

The Big East vs BCS conferences since 1998 by win % from best to worst:

vs. SEC = 25-23 (.520) <-- Includes 2012 season

vs. Big 12 = 13-15 (.464) <-- 2012 season not included

vs. ACC = 37-53 (.411) <-- " "

vs. Pac-12 = 4-10 (.286) <-- " "

vs. B1G = 12-32 (.273) <-- " "

Crazy, huh?

This is crazy. Good stuff! I bet if you include the teams that joined the Big East but then left before playing a game in the Big East, the numbers would get even crazier! Nice to see the B1G dominating these fools though!
