lol, link please.
Here ya go, I think they corralled the most out of control specimens that started 5-10 threads with titles including words F@G or Retard. the game thread was a fine read as well, they mostly blame the loss on the coach and give no credit, one would almost think Badgers were the worse team. Also few references how a bunch of slow white boys etc. It's because you see it's all bout that sec speed(or their speed, whatever, to each case) :D

Anyway it actually felt good to leave that page, a meltdown on Husker board is like kittens play fighting in comparison. different football culture, definitely.

He's a great coach for his context. He's by a landslide NW's best coach ever, and the best they could hope for, and (imo) he does about the best that anybody could do there.
Is he Northwestern’s best coach only because he’s the only one who has stayed there for any length of time?  Barnett built it and Walker continued it.  Fitzgerald has pretty much sustained that level of success and been there for 12 seasons.

One more game.  Actually Michigan will be easy-peazy foe (against Gamecocks).  7-0.  4-0 West, 3-0 East

GO WOLVERINES !
Michigan only wins this game if Peter's stays healthy and in and QB. If O'korn has to to finish the game for any reason Michigan is in trouble.

Built and continued what, exactly? 3-4 win seasons?

Maybe others would have had more success if they stayed longer, but who can say? That kind of proves my point - he's the best Northwestern could possibly hope for. He hasn't won any conference championships (a lot different and a lot more difficult than it was for his predecessors) but nobody else has even won bowl games, and he's led them to 10 win seasons 3 of the last 6 seasons.

Barnett won 1 outright Big Ten title and tied for another, while Walker tied for a Big Ten title in 2000 (lost to Nebraska in the Alamo Bowl).  Walker passed away before the start of the 2006 season, and Fitzgerald took over as coach.  Yes, Fitzgerald has had 10 win seasons, but those have been helped by the 12 game regular seasons, easier non-conference games (only one non-conference victory over a ranked team in those 10-win seasons), and a weak division in the Big Ten.  Fitzgerald has more losing seasons than 10-win seasons.  I also don't get your emphasis on bowl-game victories, but if you want to look at those, Fitzgerald lost his first 4 bowl games.  His "successful" bowl record puts him at 3-5 for his career.

I think the thing about bowl games is, that they just did not win any since 1948 and now 3 in 5/6 years. Also first time to win  two consecutive bowl games ever, as I mentioned before, I will remember where I was that day. On the couch.

College game has past Harbaugh by, he needs to go back to the NFL.  Same problem the Huskers had this past year.  Plodding play doesn’t work in CFB anymore.
