Big Ten idea: national football playoff with home games

Playoff or no playoff arguments aside...

The primary problem with the BCS right now is how the selections are made.

Pulling the top 4 teams in the BCS is just adding another layer without resolving anything.

Polls & bad computer models are the real issue.

heres something to chew on when talking about southern teams having to travel north to big10 country. Over the last 5 seasons, 20 D-1 teams would have been taken under a 4 team format. Only 1 would have been a Big10 team. 1 team in 5 years. Just something to think about.

did you base this on final rankings...or rankings before the Big10 team got their a$$ kicked in a bowl game and droped 5 spots?

The final BCS Rankings that come out the last week of the regular season. The same ones used to determine who plays in the MNC.
