Big Ten position rankings: WR/TE

I know some may be getting sick of the espn links, but at least its something to read and discuss in the lengthy offseason.

7. Nebraska: Brandon Kinnie is the leader here, and the 6-foot-3 senior isn't afraid to make the big catch. Freshmen Jamal Turner and Kenny Bell had nice springs and could add some playmaking skills to a largely unproven crew around Kinnie. Kyler Reed might be the most dangerous pass-catching tight end in the Big Ten, if not the country, after hauling in eight touchdowns and 18 yards per reception a year ago.

eh, #7. I guess i can agree with that, a little high might be what i was going to say. We have a lot of talent at WR, but its unproven talent. Spring game doesn't count. Let them get some games under their belt and then we talk about them being proven talent.

B1G QB Ranking

1. Denard Robinson, Michigan

2. Kirk Cousins, Michigan State

3. Dan Persa, Northwestern

B1G WR/TE Ranking

1. Michigan State

2. Michigan

3. Northwestern

Coincidence? I think not.

I thought #7 was a bit high, but maybe the B1G just doesn't have many good receiving corps. Other than Kinnie and Reed, our receivers are all potential with little substance. I certainly hope some of these younger players emerge to both starting roles and becoming playmakers.

Surprised we're ranked ahead of both Iowa and tOSU.... IDK what they have returning for sure, but both seem to usually have a bigger threat in the passing game than us.... I guess Kyler Reed does make up for some of our WR issues.
