Here is a post from another poster who posted this on another Husker board
The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:
(a) If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative;
( B ) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
The records of the three teams will be compared against each other;
The records of the three teams will be compared within their division;
The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish - 4, 5 and 6;
The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents;
The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular-season (intra-) conference play shall be the representative;
The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games - e.g. 12th games such as Kickoff Classic, Pigskin Classic, Hawaii, etc.] shall be the representative;
The representative will be chosen by draw.
If Missouri, Nebraska, and CU win out, it's a 3 way tie. If CU beats Missouri, NU beats CU, then the following ( B ) tiebreaker rule will be in effect.
1-The records of the three teams will be compared against each other
If the teams wins out as mentioned, they will all have a 9-2 record. Moving on to the next rule
2-The records of the three teams will be compared within their division
All 3 teams will have won their North Division games except against each other, giving all 3 teams a 4-1 North division record). Move on to the next rule
3-The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish - 4, 5 and 6
Unknown at this time. But assuming Kansas St is 3rd, whichever teams loses to Kansas St will be eliminated and rule (A) of the head to head competion takes effect. If All 3 teams beat KSU, then it's team number 5 (example Iowa St) and so on untill one of the 3 teams tied is eliminated. If all 3 teams are still tied, move on to rule number 4
4-The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents
This Rule will not be used this year because rule 3 above used a comparion between all North Division teams and did not break the tiebreaker, thus CU, and Missouri will have played Texas, but Nebraska did not play them. Same for CU and MU playing Oklahoma St and Texas A&M, while NU played Baylor and Tech. Move on to the next rule
5-The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular-season (intra-) conference play shall be the representative
This will be the tiebreaker, unless rule's 3 and 4 do not settle it .
Right now, our best best is for CU and Missouri to lose 1 more game and we continue to win out. Our next best case is CU and NU win out and Missouri loses 1 game and Nebraska beats CU.
