Big XII expansion/network?

If the Big 12 is really going through with this they may as well add Houston, BYU, Colorado State and Cincy.

Local KC TV sportscast does a segment like ESPN's "Around the Horn". On the topic "What teams should the b12 get to join?" two of the the three guys prefaced their segment with "Who ever they get the b12 is going to screw it up"

The Big 12 has narrowed its list of expansion candidates to at least 12 schools, sources told ESPN's Brett McMurphy and Jake Trotter.

The 12 schools are: Air Force, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado State, UConn, Houston, Rice, South Florida, SMU, Temple and Tulane.

Eight of the candidates still alive in the Big 12's expansion sweepstakes are members of the American Athletic Conference: UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, South Florida, SMU, Temple and Tulane. Air Force and Colorado State are Mountain West members, Rice is in Conference USA and BYU is an independent.

While at least a dozen schools made the cut, several others did not, including Arkansas State, Boise State, East Carolina, New Mexico, Northern Illinois, San Diego State and UNLV, sources said.

ESPN could not confirm if Memphis, which was also under consideration by the league, made the cut.

Adding Houston to the B12 is like adding Western Michigan to the B1G, no matter how good they are the eyeballs are already watching the conferences bigger players, there is zero financial gain and you have to give them your cut of the money. Never mind that espn and Fox dont want to pay B12 a dime more for teams that dont add much to the conference.

I really hope they add Houston, please Texas politicians make it happen.

Expansion sweepstakes? This is one sweepstakes where the winners are the schools that don't enter.

Crossing my fingers for Colorado State. Would be nice to see my uncle on regular basis again
