OU: Loses to tu in Dallas, but beats A&M

Nebraska: Beats A&M in BCS, beats Mizzou, but loses to tu in Lincoln and OSU in Stillwater

A&M: Loses to Tech, OU and Nebraska in BCS, beats Mizzou, beats tu in Austin, beats OSU in Stillwater.

Tech: Beats A&M, loses to Mizzou and Texas

Mizzou, beats Tech, loses to A&M and Nebraska

My point is the parity in the conference this year. There was no team that absolutely demolished ayone else and won out. NOBODY. Talk about competition.

No Team is clearly better than all the others.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that I'm concerened that any of our arguments will start to sound like all the big 10 backers out there.....how everybody in the conference beats up on each other, leaving no standout dominant teams, even though I'd put our teams up against comparable teams from other conferences (meaning that if kansas state is considered middle of the pack this year, I'd bet they'd do well against Minnesota or Purdue from the Big 10).

No mention of our friends to the west in Boulder. If they keep going like this, we could become the next 11 team conference without "11" in our name.

Granted the BIG XII is not the SEC, but it reminds me of them. Any team in the BIG XII can lose a conferance game at any given time. It is sometimes suprising how a team in the BIG XII can go undefeated.

The SEC is so over rated. When the SEC and Big10(or Big 11 or Big 2 its all the same) beat each other up the media calls it a slaughterhouse. And the "great defenses" make the offenses look bad. Not the other way around, oh no. The big 12 beats eachother up it gets called bad football.

The Big 12 just happens to not have alot of teams the media finds sexy. We dont have the Stadiums with cool nicknames. We dont have lots of former players in the booth. We dont have movie stars on the sidelines at our games like USC does.

What I would love more than anything is for the Big 12 to go 8-0 in bowl games this year. (yeah I know we have 9 eligible teams, but from NCAA rules either Kansas or Okie St is going to get left at home.)

It's not that unlikely a possibility. I'm sure tu and Tech will probably both win their games, and I really think the Ags will put away Cal too. A good showing in bowl season weould be great for the conference to get some of these punks to STFU.

While I don't think the parity is a good thing, I think it was expected this year. Only two quarterbacks from 2005 who were starters for most part, were starters in 2006. In 2007 I am sure we will see some teams pull away, probably OU, UT, and NU.

It drives me crazy how much people are in love with the Little 11...besides OSU, UM, and PSU there really isn't anyone. It usually comes down to those three teams....mostly OSU and UM. The other teams just suck, but they get so much credit since they play in that conference.

It won't get better next year, what with tOSU probably winning the MNC, and the t-sips losing so much ground one year removed from winning one themselves.
