The biggest issues, concerns, observations, or questions facing our defense are:

1) When did the Pelini brothers forget or give up on calling some zone blitz plays?

2) Bo Pelini's defense has proven it can stop drop back/pro-style quarterbacks.......but......

3) Bo Pelini's defense has NO ANSWER yet for mobile quarterbacks

4) When opposing teams continue to attack us over the middle we have yet to show that we can adjust.

What say you Husker fans....fire away.

Blackshirt39 I think you hit the nail on the head.

Where is the fire on this team on both sides of the ball? It can't be just a few players here and there. Where is the fire, and the passion that our great defenses used to have?

What happened to ball carriers on offense who refused to go down for any reason?

Dare I ask this....Is Nebraska losing it's edge? Did the West Coast / Spread offense make us lose our physical toughness?

 
I hate to say it, but I am questioning our coaching against mobile QB's. I know the scheme and I know it can work, but, c'mon, we don't have the defensive linemen to make it work right now. That requires an adjustment, not just asking the D-line to do something they obviously cannot do.
