The thread was locked because of individual attacks. It was started by BigRedSmitty who said he is a Husker fan despite his opposition to the coaching staff. I totally agree that he is a Husker fan and it is his right to have an opinion of the coaching staff. Just like it is a right of every American to have an opinion of the President. But I just wanted to say that he is NOT like me. This is not a personal attack on him. I just don't think he can claim to be the same type of fan as every other Husker fan. We all want the same thing, Nebraska's return to glory. GBR!!

 
Let me just say this, and this does NOT only apply to BigRedSmitty.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, positive or critical, and regardless of whether they conform with the "programs interests" or not. I think most of the long timers around here will agree we are more liberal with a variety of opinions than most sites.

What you arent entitled to do is blend personal attacks with your comments. Not only do they dilute the message in your post due to the "dumbing down" effect, but they will simply be removed and you will be penalized. So unless you like being counter-productive & wasting your own time, please step away from the internet-muscle-enhancers. it proves & accomplishes nothing.

Just wanted to repeat. I have NOTHING against him. I hope this is not seen as an attack on him. The freedom to have opinions is what makes this forum great. If not for that freedom, we would have nothing to discuss, but only things to read and accept as absolute fact because somebody force-fed us with that information.

 
I think his view point is comical and that is my opinion THAT I AM ENTITLED TO AS WELL. I find that the "sky is falling" mentality is rather humorous. I will give anyone's opinion merit if they actually make a point and are able to back it up. Doesn't mean I will agree, though.

everyone's perception of what has happened this year to this team is probably unique as well, nothing wrong with that, opinions make for good discussion, no reason to get riled if someone's opinion does not match your own......i think it is called freedom of speech

 
I may not agree with someone's opinion of how things are going this year and I may choose a different route to take, but that's what makes this board rock!!!! We all have our opinions and differences, but we are still one happy family!!!! How about a hug................ :lol:

I am a Husker fan but I don't think I'm like most of you and I am sure as hell not like most of the fans in this sorry state.
