Yep. Bring 'em on. We have the athletes and the coaches to play with anyone, anytime.Anyone, anywhere, any time. That's got to be our mindset. If we're afraid to play at Camp Randall at night, what does that say about this team?
Bring it on. Shine the spotlight. Let's go.
I worry about Bo's ability to manage his own emotionsWisconsin is tough, day or night. No doubt about that. I suppose a night game would make it a bit tougher. Actually, I don't worry about the difficulty of this game, I worry about Bo's ability to manage this team's emotions against new foes, tough foes, in unique settings with high stakes week in and week out. First game plays out fairly easily, then I worry about Fresno as a trap game. I know we will be up for Washington, but worry about Wyoming because of the setting and the impending start of the Big 10 slate. Wisconsin will require all our focus, but so will Ohio State...then a break with Minnesota and its right back in the grinder all the way to the finish. Managing emotions will be key week in and week out.
Sometimes we won't know the BiG Network schedule until that week, because the Network just picks up the games that their other partners have not (i.e., ABC and ESPN) so if some things are going really well for say a Northwestern, when they play say Illinois if ABC or ESPN thinks people are going to watch it that week, they will pick it up and the Network won't air it. Other games we will know weeks in advance as scheduled for the Network because both ABC and ESPN already told the Network they don't want that game (these are usually the very early non-conference games). So long story short, we will know some weeks in advance and others not so much.http://my.journalstar.com/post/Husker_Extra_Group/Husker_Extra/blog/under_the_lights_in_madison.html"There has been talk about it," Bielema told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Nothing has been confirmed. If I'm a person who watches Big Ten football I know that is a pretty big game.
"I think if we're doing things right and Nebraska continues to (win) it will be a showcase game."
Apparently their has been talk about the Wisconsin game being a night game according to Bielema.
I personally love atmosphere of a night game. To me this has a feel of a 2:30 like game. With us playing Ohio Light next week, I would think that would be the big showcase game. That the BigTen and ESPN/ABC networks want..... Gameday, night game, all the bells and whistles it brings. Plus it being the first game back for Tressel and his boys.
Here is a list of possible ABC/ESPN day and night games.
Nebraska vs. Wisconsin
Michigan State vs. Ohio State
Arizona vs. USC
GT vs. NC State
Miss. State vs. Georgia
Kentucky vs. LSU
Alabama vs. Florida
Clemson vs. Virginia Tech (at VT you know ESPN loves some VT)
Arkansas vs. Texas A&M (at Jerry World you know Jerry would push for a night game, Texas A&M is the hometeam)
Auburn vs. South Carolina (at South Carolina)
I tried to include the games that ESPN/ABC would pickup like the 3 SEC games obviously CBS would pick the best one, then ESPN would get the next pick.
On the same note, when do the BigTen TV schedules come out. Also how do they select the games. For example do we know 2 or 3 weeks advance or much further away than that.
So does the other team...its not like our team is at any disadvantage because we have to sit around all day. How come other teams can do it, but we can't? How come high school kids do it every Friday? And they go to school the whole day and then expected to go out and play a game. That is the lamest excuse for playing a night game I've ever heard, sitting around all day and then expected to play a game. If Bo can't get a team focused, that has to do with him, not the time of the game.I've heard Bo mention before that he doesn't like night games. Kids wake up - fart around for half the day, then are expected to go out and play a game.
The Big 10 has a no night games in November rule. Through the first two months however, there is almost always 1 Big 10 game in the 6 or 7 pm timeslot (usually 7).For some reason I thought the Big Ten rarely ever played conference night games?
Iowa State, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State were all 2:30 games this year for Iowa. We actually only had the other 2 non-conference games that were 11 am games at home. I would guess that Nebraska will probably only end up with at most 2 home games that are at 11 this year - and possibly not even that many since the ones that typically would (the early non-con home games) will be more likley to be highligted due to interest in the new team. You might actually get by with no 11 am games this first year.it just clicked to me how many 230 and 7 pm games that we played in the big 12. Get ready for a lot of games to start at 11 boys. Last year I think Iowa played one night game (psu) and one 230 game (sparty) at home. Is husker nation mentally prepared to crack open the first one at 530 am all year?
:wasted
Your v a g i n a is showing.orly.Heck no, I don't want that happening. Camp Randall is already one of the toughest places to play in CFB, it doesn't need to be intensified by a night game.
wisconsin, and the rest of the big ten, is going to be shocked at how difficult it is to run the ball against the blackshirts this fall.

OMG NOOOOOOOOO NOT THE BIG SLOW TEN NOOOOOOO
Here's how it really go: the worst performing (vs. their BCS peers this past season), slowest, most strategically backwards football conference in the country has lined up all their prize chickens for NU to decapitate this fall.
Goody goody gumdrops.
What in the hell are you talking about? Good grief Charlie Brown.Your v a g i n a is showing.orly.Heck no, I don't want that happening. Camp Randall is already one of the toughest places to play in CFB, it doesn't need to be intensified by a night game.
