Man dies with rope around neck following high-speed chase
Authorities continue to investigate the death of a man who tied a rope around his neck and the other end to his truck, then jumped from it while leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase Monday night in Southeast Nebraska.

The pursuit happened just after 11:30 p.m., starting near Pawnee City and reaching speeds of 85 miles per hour before ending about half a mile north of Nebraska 4 near Humboldt, according to a news release from the Nebraska State Patrol.

Saw this on CNN...geez, why does Nebraska always get the twisted national news?!? He obviously wanted to die.

 
Did he think this up on the spur of the moment, or three years ago he thought to himself "You know, I'm just going to keep this rope in my truck in case the cops try to pull me over I'm going to off myself"?

Surely he planned this out and intended to get into a chase and do this when he got into his truck last night. Sad.
