BLACKOUT!

dude, you can't get all of the students to even wear red. I can't tell you how many pink, blue, white, gray shirts I've seen...you think you can get them to wear black?

 
Some of this is just unbelievable to me, being so caught up in wearing red. At the time our defense needs us to support them the most, we basically want to go with the same old - same old.

Here is a small hint -- maybe if we try something different, get behind them when they are down, maybe that will light a spark under them when they need us most. WOW! Crazy, but it might just work!

Sorry, I know, I need to go speak to Dr. Phil for speaking such blasphemy!

So then organize a reliable way to get the entire student section to wear black. Take out ads in the LJS, OWH, and every other paper you can find, talk to the Daily Nebaskan and get them to do an article, go door to door in the dorms and frats/sororities and sell your idea. In the end, it will still not work unless you have lots of people standing outside the gates to the student sections handing out LOTS of black shirts. So put up the money to get that done and you might just see it happen. Otherwise...I doubt I have to say it.

I think it is a great idea.

From what I heard the student section was doing most of the booing and leaving early last week, so who cares if they wear black or red. They are piss porr to begin with, so no loss.

Will this B****** thing ever die?

 
good point, wear red, keep the tradition alive and keep cheering for the kids if you can. blackshirts will live or die on their own, like they have in the past, without black outs.

 
I'm not even going to comment on this, "B******" and "Fire Callahan!" threads both are just asking for trouble here....

but i will give you facts:

Last 2 times its been tried, defense has played better than it should have. ISU 2 years ago, 13 regulation points. #5 Texas last year, 22 points, most came out of awesome field position for them. Our defense really played good that game.

And no, it is not going to happen saturday. Texas A&M game is when it will happen, there was a video on youtube advertising it at one point.

Well, at least someone is planning ahead, that's the only way it would have a shot...but again, it would only potentially work in the student section, which is fine by me.

I think I am going to end up in the student section thanks to my lil bro giving me two tickets. I think we will wear BLACK!! I see nothing wrong with it. What is the big damn deal. Iowa has gold outs and black outs and gets the majority of the crowd to wear those colors!

 
I think everyone should purchase a Huskerboard.com Big Red Code shirt and wear it to the ISU game. Also, everyone needs to pay attention to Code #3....Yell early, Yell often, and Yell like hell!!!!

Let's give the Cyclones a major butt whippin' so that everyone can calm down a little!

 
I would love if they gave those towels out for a BIG game, or even every game for that matter. It would be so cool to see 85k waving those things around.
