Blackshirts

I understand where you are coming from Kid. Respect for the Black Shirts. Did not mean to rain on your parade at all.

:thumbs :cheers It's all good. It was just my opinion. It won't happen though.

Say it with me now.......Sea of Red

If you keep wanting to change something, you will never have a tradition.

The "B******" idea that I think McKeon had for the ISU game was a good idea. He called for a B****** in the student section. Too bad 1/2 the students didn't wear black.

Yeah when I saw that in the paper, I was hoping the students would do it. It looked wierd on t.v., like some of the section was burned or something. Maybe he will try for it again this year.

hello, if you want to see the blackshirts, & a taste of what this yr team will look like look no further then the highlights from one game in '05:

man... i just hope someone can fill Ross's shoes by the third game this year. what a stud. he was an extra lineman in there sometimes the way he picked up some of the rushing D. (2:20 in the clip is a good example)

I dunno about the B-shirts either, i think its one of those things that if we wore them and kicked some arse then people would love them, The huskers and their fans are rich in tradition, so much so that sometimes we cant accept change unless it yields immediate results. anything that breaks that "Tradition" is deemed BAD

Something else that might work would be for everyone to barry a piece of cardboard painted black on one side and red on the other and whenever we change from offense to defense flip the proper color and hold it above our heads for a show of support for the players. 80,000 12 inch squars all the same color would be cool.

That's a good idea. I think it would be cool if the fans had something, like the Steelers do with the Terrible Towels, just something to hold, or wave, or like you said flip over. It would look sweet to see the whole stadium holding something black up. Talk about intimidating!

I am not sure how it could get started, other than having the cardboard sitting on all of the seats prior to the game. That will probably not work as it would be alot of work to set those out prior to the game starting

The flag thins they did for 9-11 at the Southern Miss game in 04 could work. It wasn't really cardboard, just a piece of paper with instructions. It would be a cool sight to see.

now all we need to do is to get someone to sell the idea to the athletic department and see iy we can do it. i think our defense would get such a rush out of it.
