Blatchford haters--time to give some props

Blatchford was a huge liability a number of times last year in coverage. Yeah he had a play here or there but there were other head-shaking moments where he got beat, badly, as I recall..

Good game from him today. I only remember him on one play but he came up huge that time.

 
Walk on from a small Nebraska high school gets some major PT and a game winning pass defense? I think people should appreciate that.

 
Definitely blew several coverages in the first half, two of them pretty badly, but he was really clutch in the second half. Was pretty happy for him making that big play. So, semi-props I guess.

You'd be surprised. We had someone last week calling the O-Line 'Barney's Bitches', IIRC.

Can't understand why people would hate on the kids--I mean, for f***s sake, they're kids who choose to give some of their years to the program we love.

That doesn't mean they never drive me crazy with their inconsistent play, but you never, ever hate them. Fans? Okay. Coaches? Yes. Chancellors? Unquestionably. Athletic Directors? Without a doubt, especially if they work in Austin.

But never the kids.

Blatchford is a great story, but he plays because our defense is nothing special. We have played 2 teams this year who are somewhat complete teams and we lost both those. Got absolutely housed by one of them.

 
A couple nice pass breakups. I was really impressed when he came off coverage and hit the RB in the backfield. A couple nice games! :thumbs
