Bleacher Reports BCS Bowl predictions

Good night. I'm pretty pumped about the future but this might be a stretch even for me. A Bo season has not shown that we can be consistent enough all year. A BCS game is a fair expectation. THE BCS game....ah what the heck :koolaid2:

I will agree with them on one thing, though. Alabama is not going to the title game. They lost far too many starters on defense, and if they get matched up against a team with a great offense AND defense, they are going to lose. Alabama's defense won't be up to the challenge or to the level they were last year.

I was in that same train of thought for a while, but consider this; we assume we're going to have a great defense because we've got Bo, sure we don't recruit like USC and Florida, but we've got Bo. We also lost (arguably) 5 of our top 8 defenders. But we (myself included) assume the defense will be great mostly because of Bo.

For the same reason, I have no problems assuming a Nick Saban coached defense chock full of 5 star athletes will be great. The circumstances are different I know, but if we assume our defense will be that good, it's really only fair to assume Bama's will be great again too. If anything, Saban and his defenses have proved it more than us.

Also Bama's offense is stacked. They'll have an offense good enough to win games next year; the second best running back tandem in the country, two elite wide receivers, a QB who is yet to lose a game, and an experienced dominant O line.
