Bloomington Trip

After watching the Husker fans take over Evanston last night, I have convinced the wife we are heading to Bloomington from Alabama in a few weeks. Anyone else taking in the game against the Hoosiers?

Any official gatherings or tailgating tips for the trip on gameday?

Also, anyone know where the student section is located? Always try to avoid the student section or the band when hitting the road.

If you find out any info let me know. I'm not swimming in cash lately but I can't imagine tickets would be hard to come by, and Bloomington is a short drive from here.

 
My wife and I just got tickets to the Indiana game the other day. We live in Chicago and are driving in on Saturday morning. We're staying near the Indianapolis airport and taking a shuttle to the game and back in Bloomington; because all the hotels in Bloomington require a two night stay.

 
Went to an OSU-IU game a few years ago. Stayed in Indy and drove down on Saturday morning. The two-lane road to Bloomington and traffic control by the local yokels weren't use to big crowds for IU games or they just wanted to piss off all the OSU fans invading Indiana. We got there at the end of the first half. Game was pretty much over by that point.

 
We are probably going to this one too. Cheapest tickets on stubhub are $35 right now. I'm guessing they'll go down as it gets closer. Especially after they get destroyed the next 2 weeks.

 
We are going to this game too. Tickets are already cheaper than the NW game and in bigger blocks. The only thing that might matter is that this is IU's homecoming game.
