Bo has a new job

That explains tressell in town. He wasn't after our job, he was after our coach. It all makes sense now
Lol...very true. I'm glad for Bo, but can't wait to hear what his supporters here think about him not getting another major D1 coaching position.
I am a Bo supporter and also believed we needed a change. I think this is a good step for him. Allows him to return to his home, coach a program that has a good tradition and will allow him to get away from the spotlight. I'm happy that he landed on his feet. Always liked him, just didn't work out over here, hopefully it'll work out better for him at YSU.
Maybe in the offseason, he can find a good D1 football brain in Ohio to pick. This year there were at least two FCS playoff teams with Husker connections. Maybe soon there will be three. Coastal Carolina, Liberty University and Youngstown State.

Bo throws BS flag...

"Bo Pelini would not only be returning to his hometown and coaching in a lower division, but would also be working for a former rival should he indeed take the Youngstown State job."

How is Tressel a rival?

Kind of weird that Osborne and now Tressel seem to think the Bo is a pretty good coach. But what do they know they have only won 4 national championships in FBS.
Ya, and Michael Jordan won a bunch of rings, but he sucked at golf, sucked at baseball, and sucked at owning a team.

no one said Bo isnt a good coach. He just isnt good enough. Hes been hired by an FCS program. Tressel agrees. God you people.
Let me be the first then. Bo isn't a good coach. Now here's the spade. Would you like to be the last to shovel dirt on that grave.

FIFY.
He could be a damn good position coach or a damn good DC. Being a CEO and managing all aspects is a bit too broad in scope for him at this point.

I'm going to totally disagree with that. Bo is a good head coach. He did a good job turning the program around. he just wasn't able to get us over the hump. When all is said and done we are MUCH better off now than we were when he arrived. It was simply time for a change and Bo will probably have success elsewhere and I hope he does.

Probably forgot that Fickell was head coach and not Tressel before Meyer.

This job obviously stressed him out, it's a pressure-cooker position. A job like Youngstown would likely be healthier for him, and with the buyout he can afford a move like this. Buying a big house in his home town and coaching there without all the scrutiny/drama probably sounds appealing.
