Moving to the Big Ten didn't make the Huskers change a lot about recruiting. They've started recruiting one, two years in advance, so they didn't change much with this class. The reaction of the commits was "tremendous" when it was announced we'd moved to the Big 10.

 
People look at Nebraska's history of playing good defense, and that helps. It's not just about selling one thing, but they try to sell the fact that they're developing people for the rest of their lives, so when they walk out they're ready for the rest of their lives. This gets kids coming here for the right reasons. In the end we're talking about the University of Nebraska and that sells itself.

The recruits, especially from Texas, didn't care much about the move to the Big 10. It was a non-issue. You only play one maybe two games in Texas per year anyway. The Big 10 has a lot of coverage in Texas. The recruits seemed excited to play in the Big 10.

The longer you're together as a recruiting team the easier it is to get on the same page. Bo thinks they're already taking steps toward next year, they've already identified guys who will fit their program.

 
Bo won't comment on guys individually. But Sterrup is a great guy, good athlete, good character guy. He'll fit into the culture of this football team. He has a tremendous future ahead of him.

If you're referring to the rumored coaching changes, Bo said last night he'd only discuss Signing day and the recruiting class.

That being said, I'm just waiting for someone to bring it up... Wonder what treatment that first brave guy will meet.

 
Bubba Starling - Bo doesn't think they're still recruiting him. Bubba will be here in the summer time. Bo just went to see him play basketball and you won't find a guy who's more excited to come here. The rest of the process will take care of itself. Nobody has a crystal ball, but right now he's fully committed to Nebraska.

 
Mauro - they feel really good about him. With Maher and Dann they have guys who are capable in the program, and they were only going to take a kicker if they got the right guy. Papuchis headed this up. Mauro was the guy we wanted and we targeted him, and we built a relationship and we're ecstatic about him coming here.

Good to hear Bo say that about Bubba, im still going to wait until the draft is over with until i can be excited about him in red and white.
