All the talk but no one has bothered to answer my question here.HuskerBCS said:Im just trying to figure out what is gonna change all of a sudden between now and whenever (2, 3, 4, years down the road) that we are gonna start winning and playing solid football. We are the same team as when Callahan was here with just a little better defense. I don't see the long term being much better than it is now or was last season. If you think it will be then please tell me what is going to change to make things different.
I gave that answer a few posts up the thread. ^^All the talk but no one has bothered to answer my question here.HuskerBCS said:Im just trying to figure out what is gonna change all of a sudden between now and whenever (2, 3, 4, years down the road) that we are gonna start winning and playing solid football. Also, please let me clarify.....I am not saying that Pelini is the only problem we have on this team. Im also not saying that it is bad to have a head coach who is more of a motivator than a coach. What I am saying is that Pelini needs to have his hand in everything that is done. If he is going to be a motivator then he needs to surround himself with great coaches who know the details. I really don't think you do this when you say you are a defensive specialist and then you simply carry over the old OC and let him do his thing. Nothing changes.
If Pelini wiped the slate clean of everything left from the Callahan days on offense and then oversaw the entire team, I would have no problems at all.
To paraphrase a cliche, an absurd argument deserves ridicule, not a rational answer. For anyone on this forum to pretend that your position on Pelini is in some way on equal footing with the majority opinion or in any way is something that needs to be taken seriously is absurd. All the talk but no one has bothered to answer my question here.HuskerBCS said:Im just trying to figure out what is gonna change all of a sudden between now and whenever (2, 3, 4, years down the road) that we are gonna start winning and playing solid football. Same thing I've been saying. It needs to Bo's team. All Bo all the time. All the talk but no one has bothered to answer my question here.

I did not read that he was a failure into that post. He's a good coach who has a lot of learning to do. It is my firm belief that he can be and will be the COO of Husker Football and be a ##!% good one.To paraphrase a cliche, an absurd argument deserves ridicule, not a rational answer. Does Bo have faults as a head coach? Yes.
Will Bo have to make some hard decisions about this offense? Almost certainly.
What is going to change between now and four years from now? Personnel, skill players, division and conference strength, and possibly coaching staff.
Now please, stop embarrassing yourself by implying that Bo Pelini is a failure of a coach because our offense couldn't get it up against Texas Tech. This issue is relatively recent and a lot of it is the product of a quarterback change. Believe me, if this offense goes through the whole season without any measurable improvement, Bo will be more than aware of it, and take steps to correct it, whether the fan base ever hears about them or not.
You don't even have to take the trouble to read the post, much less anything into it. The title of this thread is "Bo Pelini: Great Motivator, Bad Coach."
