Bo Presser

win 1 or 2 of the next 3. win the 2nd or 3rd tier bowl. get out of this season 9-4 or 10-3, and get ready for next year. That's probably the best we can hope for now.

Hmm. That sounds familiar. When did we start accepting mediocrity around here?

I support Bo as much as the next guy, but I don't let my support blind the fact that Bo has glaring deficiencies as a head coach.
Since when are 10 win seasons mediocre? Did I miss the NCAA ruling that each season is 20 games?
So you're fine with playing in the Meineke Car Care Bowl every year? Well ok.

I don't know about you, but I certainly had higher expectations coming into this season.
Where the hell did I say that?
That's a "medicore" season to me.

I love how every thread just turns into the exact same thing. Discuss Bo's press conference or move on to one of the "do we or don't we really suck" threads.

I'm not trying to be a wise acre or anything-just curious. Did you feel this way about Bo last week when we beat Michigan State? You also said that you had higher expectations. What were they? I have to admit that I didn't know what to expect this year. I think I thought our defense was going to be lights out based on what we heard over the summer. I thought we would struggle offensively and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Taylor has really grown, Rex is dynamite, the young guys are stepping up. I truly believe that if we would've stuck to our running game against Wiscy instead of getting 'pass happy' we might've won that game. I was disappointed by the way we played tonight too-it reminded me of that awful game we played against Iowa State. But I really think we are still in this. I'm probably one of the 'overly optimistic' ones but I just have this feeling that we're going to be ok.

Conference championship, BCS berth.

Pretty sure that's how the majority of us felt prior to the season based on the hype: an all-American at every level on defense, new up-tempo offense, etc.

Not being a tough guy, just saying what you did. I don't think 10 wins is mediocre...you obviously thought I did. My bad.

And we still have a shot at getting 11, maybe even 12 wins.

Bo's press conference was swell.

Like it or not, this is who we are under Pelini. It's not bad, necessarily. It just looks that way when we start out the season pointing towards a top 5 finish.

I'd rather win the game and let people get butthurt over Bo's presser than lose and have people compliment him on a swell presser. It's a presser, sure it's a part of the job, but it's a tiny part of the job. Who cares?
I thought it was worth pointing out and good progress. So I guess I do. Thanks buddy.

Don't crucify someone unless you can raise them from the dead. It is just a game folks. Some fans on here remind me of the same 5,000 people that Jesus fed by miracles were also the same that called for his crucifixion. FWIW.

anyone prior to the start of the season who thought we would lose less than 3 games this season wasn't being honest about what our team had going in (or just a mindless sunshine pumper) This loss doesn't change my 8-4 pre-season prediction, maybe not where we want to be but it's where we're at- next year should be a little better
