Oh sorry. Yeah that first game loss is going to be embarrassing. Funny that I never considered it.

Baylor actually started to put together a pretty good defense under Matt Ruhle before he left for Carolina and it'll be interesting to see if Aaranda can keep things going.  It was definitely a vast improvement over the Briles days where it seemed like whoever had the ball last won.

Orgeron said he told Pelini, the former Nebraska head coach who was brought in to replace Dave Aranda this offseason, to simplify the defense.

Aranda hired Ron Roberts as his DC.  Roberts was Aranda & Pete Goldings mentor. among others  Saban has poached several of his assistants over the years.  He's up there in age, but I agree, it's going to be interesting to see how he & Aranda handle the wide open Big 12.
