Bob Elliott is N

I get the "I want recruiters" mentality, but at this point i think Donte has that covered.. I want to make sure we have a guy who can coach these kids up.

Not saying Donte cant, but a guy who knows Diaco is A-ok with me.

 
Like I said in another thread, it's hard to question Riley on these decisions with the last four hires he made looking like home runs (K. Williams, JP, D. Williams, and Diaco)

 
Maybe Riley wanted another old fart on the coaching staff. Riley, Elliot, and Cav can carpool to Village Inn for the early bird special.

Bob's also have keen senses of talent and for motivation. Cooperative. They're real Bobs' Bobs.

 
While I would have preferred a more energetic recruiter who can also coach them up, this is still a great addition and happy to have him aboard. Riley is putting together a pretty impressive staff now. I think it will translate to good things if we give them enough time

 
Interesting that it's kind of the opposite direction of several recent hires.

All the reports are he has a job - the open coaching position seems likely but I suppose there are other possibilities.

 
I'll trust Riley/Diaco on this one. If Elliott can help coach up and develop the talent we're getting and can provide some help with big picture coaching and ease the 3-4 transition, then count me in.

 
I think this was a very smart hire. Wanting to implement the new defensive scheme, they need experts. Diaco helping Bray and Elliott helping Williams is great. Bray and Williams bring the youth, fire, and technique while Diaco and Elliott bring the "smarts" and understanding!! Love it
