Bo's Dream Job isn't Ohio The State

Why is this even an issue? When Bo had his introductory press conference after he was hired, he said Nebraska was his dream job. Is it really so hard to fathom that he was actually telling the truth?
even if all coaches say that, bo would be more believable because he had previous experience here. he was more informed than someone with no experience at a program saying that is his dream job. i think you give bo a say in the new AD, and he will never have a reason to leave.
I don't think Bo has a reason to leave right now, let alone if he had more say in the AD. He makes very good money, he's part of a strong Catholic community (which is important to him, apparently) and he's the head coach at a top 5 football university. What possible reason would he have to leave?

Besides those pesky swamp monsters. I didn't think they even needed to be mentioned. Such a menace.

^ how about $$? u don't think there's catholics in Ohio? I don't get how that even plays into this - they're freaking everywhere. keep your small children inside.

maybe better recruiting? maybe a connection w/ the AD at another institution? family? weather? could be any number of things.

Not only this, but one must look at these contracts in terms of how they play out in the local economies. $3 million goes a hell of a lot further in Lincoln compared to, say, the South or Midwest (read: LSU, tOSU). Not saying it's the *only* factor--just one of many, but our money spends better in Lincoln.

Also, didn't see that anyone brought up the Ohio article that talked about how Bo was caught in the middle of a coaching change at tOSU and was publicly hung out to dry by the preceding coach after a bad loss to Pitt.

Could understand how that may sour a man on his alma matter, and it makes sense how he has his players back. Do unto others...

a Benz is still 65k, a gallon of milk is still $4. He's going to be buying a big a$$ house no matter what, but beyond that and some property taxes the cost of living isn't going to be so significant where he goes that his $2 million a year raise gets whiped out.

Besides, these big times programs he'd end up at aren't in LA or New York. Their in Columbus, Ohio, Dunmore, Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Georgia, Texas, or Florida --- all of which are extremely cheap to live in.

I don't think Bo is the guy who would hold a grudge like that. That being said, I don't think he'll go back to tOSU, either. He's repeatedly said that he's not interested in the job. As fans, we have no reason to distrust Bo. He's poured his heart into his team for four years, now. I don't see that stopping just because a job at tOSU or Notre Dame opens up.

I think there was a chance Bo might have gone to tOSU if we were still in the Little 12. Now I find it highly unlikely. Bo doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd sell us out like that.

He had a shot at the Miami job, remember, before the scandal broke. Didn't even turn his head. Not that Miami is a Top 5 job, necessarily (especially now), but if he was into nice weather and beaches and more $$, he would have taken a look, surely.
