Tommy Bowden has been relieved of his duties as Clemson's head football coach after a 3-3 start

I've always had a hard time of understanding when head coaches are fired fairly early on in the season. I know they had high expectations of Clemson, but I don't see how getting rid of the head coach is going to make things better. What are your thoughts?

Well we did hold on to calahan until the bitter end so.... i mean i dont know why they woudl fire him mid season but whatever.

IMO the only time it is appropriate is when there is something going on outside the realm of coaching. sleeping with a student, hitting a student, drug problems, breaking rules... stuff like that. imo if its just wins and losses then you need to make your decision before the year and be man enough to stick with it.
