Bowl game in Nebraska?

Bowl Game: Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

We need to stop helping Lincoln/Omaha and start helping out the rest of the state. Think of all the money it'll bring in with about 3,000 people in attendance to see South East Central Louisiana Tech vs Western North Idaho A&M
I thought Scottsbluff was in Wyoming.
It might as well be. I kinda wish it was, for tax purposes anyway.

Lincoln would probably never work for a Bowl Game. But Minneapolis, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Detroit could all host a BCS game and more bowl games. I'm tired of the southern and west coast teams having home field advantage every year. Not to mention the southern cities raking in all the money. Can you imagine what a BCS bowl could do for a city like Detroit's economy? How about the National Title? We need to cater to the south and west coast less.
So much of its weather and tourism and what not. I agree, in theory I'd love to see a bowl in Detroit, it'd help a lot but as a fan I'd rather go to one in Orlando.
I understand. A lot of people like to make vacation out of it. I just always hold on to hope that the NCAA and BCS will put the sport before money someday. But that hope is really fading away.

If there was a bowl game in Nebraska and Nebraska wasn't playing in it, there's not a snowballs chance in hades that I'd freeze my butt off to watch two mid-tier teams play. There's already too many bowls. How many people are actually going to attend the bowl game between Illinois and UCLA? Both HC's have been fired, and the teams combined record is 12-13. Not a lot to get excited about there.

I think that is why they should increase the total wins to seven to be bowl eligible. They are playing more games now. When they played ten games you were assured a good team would be playing but now with twelve games you can have a 6-6 team. If they lose their bowl game they would have a losing record. That is ridiculous to have a team go to a bowl and end up with a losing record!! eyeswear2allthatsholy

Also I would like to name the bowl the Banana Bowl. I have always wanted to have a Banana bowl in the bowl series, maybe the MNC game should be called that after all the controversy if this one doesn't pan out!!
