Before the KSU game this week, how many of you think we will win and go to a bowl game? If we lose to them, do you think we will beat Colorado?

God I hope so. I hate KSU so freaking much I would love to finally a senior day win and shut those idiots from Manhattan up. Plus, manning up to win the last two games would show a lot and probably quell my latest rage over losing to KU when it isn't basketball season.

I do believe we will go bowling this year as much as I don't really like Billy C (yet). I think he'll be able to get the guys together for the last home game and go out of Lincoln a winner. I think we'll have to beat K-State to get in. If we lose (god forbid that) I don't see us beating Colorado out there anyways so to me this is the game of the year. The seniors are going to be ready to play and I just hope the rest of the team is too. It's going to be a tough game so they better be ready for a fight. :box (Sorry that was kinda cheesy but oh well.) I think the game could be decided in the last 5 minutes although it would be better if we would just take it to 'em the whole game and end up winning by double digits.

i dunno.......i really don't........if we get beat by both Kansas teams in the same year, i think that would be a record never before broken by them.......anyway if we don't beat KSU we have no chance at CU...i watched them play last week and we are no match for their talent, at any position on the field...sorry just the truth

8-4 doesn't sound too bad at all. Wouldn't be a pretty 8-4 I can tell ya that much. I would still take it. If we beat Kansas State and lose to Colorado, which is what I think will happen, which bowl would we most likely play in and who would we possibly play? Has anyone heard anything on this?

Ohio in the Independence Bowl.
Have you actually heard this somewhere? I think it's a matchup a lower tier bowl would love to have, but is it possible? First of all, Ohio has to win their last two games. I think they'll win at home against Miami, but lose on the road this week. Even if they were able to win both, every place I read has the Independence Bowl as SEC vs Big12. I don't know how the lower-tier tie-ins work. If there is a bowl elligible team availible from the specific conference they have a deal with, do they have to take it? Or can they look elsewhere? Can anyone shed light on this. One thing is for sure: if we manage one more win, the lower tier big12 bowls will fight over us because we travel so well.

I've heard it through the grapevine when I was back in Lincoln last week. I actually think it'd get A LOT of people to attend and national attention (tv viewers).

It's kind of the other way around - most conferences have bowl tie-ins for a set number of teams. In the SEC, there are 8 tie-ins. However, this year it is almost certain that there won't be 8 teams that are bowl eligible. In those cases, the bowl that was slotted to get, say, the 8th team from the SEC can pick whomever they want.

:horns2 Uh Huh

How SWEET to play Ohio in a bowl game. The board would be consumed by massive quantities of posts until next fall. GOSH

I say lets get eligible first, then worry about the bluffs and then take what ever we get and use the extra practices to master one aspect of the game of football.
