I think if NU can come out and beat KSU this weekend, play a solid game against CU(win or lose) and win a bowl game, that a lot of these wounds will begin to heal. That is the only way for it to begin, though, a win. I hope Callahan has a sense of urgency for this game.

8-4 sounds pretty decent, but sloppy. I just can't see beating CU. Dont get me wrong I want us to win, but Im trying to be realistic. Too many questions. KSU win most likley. But if we can pull off a win at CU that would really carry over very well for the bowl game and next year and would heal some sore wounds.

Yeah, it's amazing we have a shot at going 8-4. You would never no it by some of the posts lately. I think we beat KSU, lose to CU and who knows about the bowl game - the important thing is just becoming bowl eligible at this point. Even going 7-5 or 6-6 is going to be an improvement over last year as far as W/L. Wait a few years when we have 4 star guys on the field instead of 2 star guys and we'll see bigger improvements.

Ohio in the Independence Bowl.
That theoretically is impossible. The Indepence Bowl is tied in with the Big XII and the SEC. It would probably be Nebraska versus South Carolina or Tennessee(if they become bowl eligible).

South Carolina is 6 and 3, so they are already eligible. However, are there even enough games left for Tennessee to become bowl eligible? Sorry, I don't follow them much.

Yes, Tennesee has to win their next three games to go bowling. Memphis,Vandy, and Kentucky. I think they will probably beat all them but look out for Memphis with D'angelo Williams.

i think if the cornhuskers come out with fire in their eyes and fire in their hearts they will beat k-state, and with that get that load of confidence to go in to boulder and beat the **I* out of the buffs, but to do that the huskers would have to play the best game of the year.

SO AS FANS OF THE GREAT HUSKER NATION LET GO IN THIER AND MAKE SOME

NOISE :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce

LETS BEAT K-STATE :bat THEN BEAT THE SHI* OUT THE BUFFS dedhoarse

Will the maine game affect bowl eligibilty if the Skers manage to win 1 more game?
No. We haven't counted a D1-AA team for a bowl eligibility in 3 years I believe. If I remember right, you can do it once every 2 years.
