Bowman injured

That 94 team had a LOT more talent and depth than this team...
I don't like comparing teams, but I think people may be surprised that we have just as much if not more depth than the 94 Defense. We may not have the star power across the field to match up with that defense but the depth I think we can match.
Huh?? Really?

I think this is all my fault. Zack got hurt on my NCAA07 about a week ago with an ACL injury.... OMG..... NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I feel bad for bowman but I think he will step up and pass on what he can to help his replacement out and come back next year and have a great year.

I know I know. You think if I restart the season, Bowmand will be OK and Beck will come back??

OK, so I don't feel like reading through all the pages to see what y'all think.

How is your depth at DB? I know he was your star, but do y'all have the people to replace him without too much trouble?

DAMMIT!!!!!!! :madash :madash :madash

I hope he is able to come back from this injury. He is a great athlete so I wish him the best. It does look like we have a few that can step up. A couple are getting real praise from the coaches and did before the injury so...... Lets hope!

:WTH I can't go out of town without the team falling apart?

My "source" had said this weekend that Jones was going to overtake Grixby in the starting lineup. So now it will be Jones on the other side from Grixby.

Hopefully Bowman won't be another Willie Amos and can come back strong.

We have 3 or 4 comming in (assuming they can all clear NCAA rubber stamp) that could step up. We just need the other teams to call our linebackers pussies.

:clap :clap :clap :clap

There still is a lot of "talent" in the DB's. But it is unporven. How it will play out on the field, we will find out in a month. But if the incoming guys can play on the field like they are rated on all the websites, then don't expect a huge dropoff.

All the young guys are going to have that learning curve to overcome. No experience and learning a new defensive scheme and play calls are always going to take time. Grix got burned quite a few times his Fr. year, but is progressing nicely. The same goes for Reggie Smith for OU, he played quite a bit as a Fr, took his lumps and started to shine towards the end of the year. It looks like we just might have to throw some of these young guys into the fire and see what they can do.

I feel so bad for ZB. Even though there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I can only imagine how damaged his psyche is today.

I know kids who this happens to. At my high school, we have a QB who is being recruited by, among others, Louisville and Illinois. He blew out his knee (for the second time) in the 4th game last year. He was in tears on the field, he knew what had happened. He came back two games later, barely able to walk, and led us to the state quarterfinals. He had surgery at Christmas, and will be as good as ever, according to his Indianapolis doctor (he went straight to the best after the second time). He will be a senior this year.

Even though he was just a junior at the time of his injury, he was devistated (sp?). Even though he knew he had another year, he was at an all time low. Luckily, he was cleared to play (doctors said he couldn't hurt it any more than it was).

Bowman will get another year...but knowing what a competitor he is, he wants to play this year. I feel for him, my heart is broken for him. If he's the kid of kid I think he is, he will work hard and be even better next year.

That's the way it appears. The bad thing about playing a real young guy at corner is one mistake could be 6 points. From what I have heard, Anthony West has looked pretty good. Bryan Wilson and Titus Brothers will have a role that will be stepped up and Andre Jones sounds like he is the real deal. Hopefully he can get acclimated quicker than Bowman did.

I've been meaning to ask about bryan wilson. I know he played in the maine game last year and got smoked. I didn't ever catch him on the field again. Just wondering if he will make an impact in his career or not. The life of a juco transfer isn't very long.
