Bowman makes some good points

Well ya it was a team loss, but Shanle no doubt had a ton more mistakes, costly ones at that, than anyone else. The momentum lost by that pass before half time is unmeasurable. Whatever though, he is not here anymore, thank God, we now have Asante who IMO will be an animal.

When you lose an emotional player like Zack, it is hard to find someone to step up with the same emotion...especially when they lost Zack the way they did last summer. With him on the field, I feel they will have fire.

If you don't have a stellar defensive backfield that go cover man-to-man, it is harder to send your LB's or safeties on a blitz...IMO. With Zack back and the in coming guys I hope to see more blitzing on Coz!!!!!

They have flat out admitted they didnt blitz like they wanted to, because the secondary wasnt up to man coverage, so they stayed in zone all the time. Made the defense predictable when the offense knows you wont be bringing the heat. Bowman could well have been the difference in acouple games. I really feel that if we had him last season, we win 10 games.

I feel the same way. he stays healthy, we definently win at least 1 more.

The Okie state game was a game that the whole team has to take credit for. That was a uniform disaster.

Said Bowman: “We played pretty well in the secondary last year. We just felt like we left a lot of plays on the field. We’re still going to do what we do this season, but we’re going to emphasize making plays and creating turnovers.”
:rollin

i understand the need to be diplomatic, but seriously, he had to be biting his tongue when he said that...

Played what? It sure wasn't football, at least not the type of football I wanted to see out there.

Add to that some big time hitting coming from safety and I think teams will be a little more careful about passing on us this year.
