Bowman to NFL?

Do you think he could/should make the leap after missing an entire season?

For our sake I really hope he stays.

 
Sorry. Not a chance in he!! of this rumor (and that's what it is since we're all chatting about it) coming true. He played on and off...coming into his own the second half of the season. Then the injury this year. No NFL team in their right mind would even consider wasting a pick on him.

 
Although I'm sure some team would take a chance on him if he went after this season he does only have one season under his belt at the division 1A level. Plus he is recovering from an injury.

I don't know what his personal financial situation is but unless he has some dire need of cash it would be much better for his career if he stayed.

 
I think he needs to show more on the field if he wants to be a first rounder. It wasn't until the latter of the season when he developed into a really good corner. A full season of greatness would help him in the draft.

But to risk another injury and be absolutly discounted as a draft pick?? If he's recovered ..he's gone, why risk it?

I guess it depends on how big of a paycheck he wants and how much risk he wants to take. Injury is always a risk, I never bought it as an excuse not to play. But there's potential money involved here which could change that for him.

that's a pretty reliable source, but I just don't see how 1 year is D1 football in which he looked shakey at times and then a major leg injury would allow him to even go on the first day.

I was thinking the same thing, but I don't think Bowman will leave. It would be a bad choice imo.

I was thinking of Fabian Washington. He didn't have any exceptional years here at NU, but went to the combine, ran a sub 4.3 40 and must have performed well. He was a first round draft pick. I would have never guessed that after watching him play in college.

Point taken....but what did he do in his first 2 years at FSU. Sorry, not that up to date on FSU corners. I'm assuming he was a little more of a stud/shutdown guy than Bowman who has JUCO ball and a partial year of 1-A on his resume.
