Probably a good idea on his part to have a better shot at more playing time. As good as he is at QB, everything I've heard suggests that he would probably be 3rd on the depth chart at QB, and it's not likely that they'll go through QBs at the rate they did last year.

 
It is also the position he would most likely be switched to if he went pro. Spending a full season at WR could help his draft stock greatly.

 
Getting him in space and away from D-Lineman and most linebackers sound good to me. The fewer hits he takes the better.

Really hoping his loyalty and humility get him rewarded with a nice NFL contract. Too many times these things come back to bite players in the butt.

 
Some expert tweeted that they spoke with an NFL scout and they said this move was "Smart".

He had no future as an NFL QB. (From what we've seen at least) This is his best shot at playing on Sundays
