Steve was hired by our AD Eichorst back in August . . .

Undergrad from Kenyon, Masters from Ohio State. Worked on the compliance staff at Ohio State (1999-2004 is my best guess).

Any idea of the job he did at OSU?

 
His responsibilities include monitoring the recruiting activities for all sports, reviewing official visit documentation, monitoring the number of official visits, writing cease and desist letters, processing infractions, self-reports, and eligibility appeals, composing NCAA and Big Ten waivers and petitions, assisting with coaches compliance meetings, writing and updating the compliance manual, drafting transfer and release letters, reviewing the declaration of playing and practice seasons, and overseeing completion of check-in and check-out student-athlete materials.

Interesting that he went from that to managing the medical and sports and conditioning programs.
