Bullsh!t rankings

You beat a decent, unranked Mizzou at home. You were unranked prior to the game. You beat a team pretty thrashed by injuries. They're just rankings. Unless you're in the title hunt, they matter very little.

 
Do some people even bother watching college football games NOT involving Nebraska??

All of those three teams are deserving of a higher ranking than we are.

 
Wake Forest deserves to be ranked ahead of us as does Maryland. If anyone thinks college football is the same as it was 20, even 10 years ago is crazy. Maryland and Wake Forest sit atop the ACC and Florida State and Miami are both 5-4 fighting for bowl eligibility. One thing I have to ask is how the hell is Florida rated ahead of a team that they lost to? Auburn lost to #11 rated Arkansas, Florida lost to #16 Tennessee. Yeah, that makes sense. There are a lot of different teams in the top 25 and in position for conference titles this year. Pretty cool for football.

:yeah

we just need to set our sights on a decent bowl game. And the goal to leapfrogging into one is beating Texas on Dec. 2nd. Let's do that first.

 
Regardless of whether or not he's angry at your post, he's right. Those teams deserve to be ranked ahead of us.

:yeah Those are good teams ahead of us, but I was thinking the same thing about Florida. But it's kind of a what have you done for me lately kind of thing.

 
I am not to worried about the rankings right now we have lost 2 out of the last3 games we played. If we win out then I will be interested as to how the polls feel we stack up for next year.

We play aTm this week and I hope the team is more focused on them then we seem to be. everyone here is talking championships and bowl games and polls. We have a tough game to play in as tough enviroment as there is in college football.

Guys, Missouri is the first decent team that we have beat this year. The pollsters shouldn't give us any love or credit until we actually show them that we can beat a decent team (aTm this weekend on the road). Quite acting like we are getting cheated by not being ranked higher. Some people act like Nebraska is owed something from these pollsters because we are Nebraska. It doesn't work that way folks. If we want something we have to go and get it ourselves. We do that by beating quality opponents not just sh**ty opponents.

 
our there any 3 loss teams ahead of us?? i think the rankings are about right. If we win sat and beat the buffs we should move into the top 20 again.

Actually, The only team Florida lost to so far this season is Auburn...Who's ranked one spot ahead of them in two of the Human polls but swapped in the BCS poll.

Happens all the time..The best team doesn't allways win in a head to head. Do you think We would've leapfrogged Texas if we beat them at home a few weeks ago? Probably would've taken two wins against the shorthorns to do that from the #20 spot.

 
I could care less about the polls right now..............it doesn't affect our team any because it's not like we are in the title hunt or something. All I care about is aTm and beating them this weekend and then 2 weeks from that beating sCUm!!! Then I'll worry about Dec. 2nd and beyond!!!!!!!!!!! :restore
