Yeah not exactly what I was talking about. On the 4th their was a group of people burning flags just to burn them to celebrate their rights. :blink:depends on the context.. i thought they burnt american flags when they are old and worn out, like a military burial kind of thing.
oh i see. well i dont really care. if they want to burn a flag, let em. just better not be my personal flag.Yeah not exactly what I was talking about. Buring a flag is much different then burning one :thumbs
I think, in most cases, it isn't to protest "the country" so much as it is to express an opinion of the administration of the country.Okay yes they do destroy the flags if they are worn and if they do touch the ground or such but if you think it's right for some dumbshit just to burn a flag then something is wrong with this country!!! Where in the hell is the pride at!!! :WTH
i think the pride is there, its just that people have different ways of expressing it. I think it is more important to believe in your country than to believe in a flag. Of course, the flag is the symbol, and it is easier to identify with symbols, because they are tangible. you can see and feel the symbol (an american flag in this instance). But it is more difficult to feel and see an intangible (our country).Okay yes they do destroy the flags if they are worn and if they do touch the ground or such but if you think it's right for some dumbshit just to burn a flag then something is wrong with this country!!! Where in the hell is the pride at!!! :WTH
