Alberton, MT -- According to a family member of a player on the school's football team, the students involved have been on in-school suspension this week, and the school is taking more action toward some of the students involved.
Sources tell KPAX a student was taped to the ceiling of the football team bus after a game in Noxon last Friday. Although two coaches and the bus driver were on the bus at the time, the school didn't find out about the incident until after the weekend, when the parents of a girl who had a camera on the bus brought the camera to the school.
The remainder of Alberton High's football season was canceled following the incident.
The Alberton school district's attorney says she expects a criminal investigation to wrap-up in the next couple of days, and some big decisions will be made once that happens.
Alberton Superintendent Jim Baldwin hasn't said how many students were involved, or what disciplinary action might be taken. However, he does says the outcome of the investigation could affect the employment of football coach Art Walsh and his assistant.
