Calaclown/Cosgrove story I heard!

yeah, you really can't have classes that are 90% full of contributors.

unless your classes are 10 people.

Probably overall, Coach Cal's classes run 40 to 50% of recruits that minimally contribute. In all fairness, isn't that about average for all schools?

I'm thinking Calaclown had a lot of tools as a coach except one of the most important, Leadership! He would be great as a book, something to pull out for reference once in awhile! He would not be under the section marked, 'How to bring your College football team together!'

or "How to communicate with you fanbase"

I think we should cut him a break. He did an excellent job in every aspect.

:sarcasm

Gee...couldn't tell it on Saturday either...I wondered how they got that defense of theirs so fine tuned and ready to go. I bet Callahan just thought the offense was that good in practice, being the genius that he was... :bs:

This all makes me wanna vomit!!

BC is and was terrible and the more stories I hear about him the more it makes him look like an a$$! Any of you guys ever part of or get to read the crazy love fest posts on the BigRedBoard.com, WOW, crazy! I was kicked out of that place.
That was probably the only wise move they ever made. :nanalama

Pretty much sums it up eh?? I'm sure Bo and Carl are shooting holes through Watson offense and Vice Versa!
If only you knew....I dont think Pelini even know the offense's playbook.
Bo does seem to let Watson run his own show, but I'd have to say recruitng Green, implementing more spread option etc. (not the type of things Watts did at CU) seem to indicate Pellini's desires as carried out by Watson. Secondly, I've heard coach P say on the Bo Pelini show that they do break down film together and share ideas.
Huskertim is right, HuskerBCS. Pelini is involved in the offense and Watson is involved in the defense, just not a whole lot. Pelini, unlike Callahan, has the entire team in perspective instead of just stockpiling talent on one side of the ball.
A lot of the changes that they put into the O last year can be attributed to Pelini's desire to make the O more multiple. He said it when he took over, he wasn't going to dictate what overall scheme Wats would run but he did know what was hard to defend and wanted to add certain elements to the O gameplan. The Zone Read is NOT a WCO play that Wats would have put in otherwise.

The zone read was implemented in 2007 for the Colorado game, before Bo Pelini was involved in the program.

always bringing up old stuff. lets worry about the present and future

Let me appoligize for all posters here. Somehow I guess you were led to believe a thread entitled Callaclown was about an upcoming event. Really, we're all terribly sorry we wasted your time.

Ahhhh a BRBer, interesting. I thought you guys kind of just stayed in your little hole.

TO arrived probably 4 games before the Colorado game.

TO said himself he was not interfering with the program, and that he would offer Callahan some advice if Callahan asked him for it but otherwise he was just an observer who just happened to have the power to decide the head coach's fate.
