Well, I wouldn't have the disdain for BC, if he didn't have the audacity to come in here, and change the offense. If me modified it, ok, but to flat out change it, that's assinine.

But that's his job. Should the athletic department decide what style of play every team at NU is to use? No because that's dumb. Last I checked that's the coaches job.

I didn't say that in the least...

But when your will to install a certain type of offense, over rules common sense, then alarm bells should be ringing.

Do you have any idea how different a Power I and a WCO are? Had we hired a Power I or Option coach, I can completely understand your position. We didn't though, and to expect a coach that has taught and run the WCO his entire career to come into a Power I system and simply modify it? Sorry man, that's assinine.

Yes, I am vaguely familiar with this sport called football... I've heard that with the power I or option, they run the ball, but I wouldn't know what a running play looks like, especially after yesterday...

But the common sense I speak of, is running the ball, when you should run it, and not throwing the ball...

So, you're perfectly ok with throwing on 2nd and goal from the 2 yard line?

That my friend, is assinine...

Yup, sure am. Especialy when Taylor's as hot as he was yesterday. No problem at all.

I hope for our sake, he can come out every week like he did this past saturday...

But, the real reason we're 4-0 is because of the almighty Blackshirts, and not this, up until yesterday, p*ss poor excuse for an offense...

He threw for over 400 yards and we only scored 13 points in regulation, that's absolutely friggin atrocious.

Yup that's what happens when you can't finish drives. For some reason that problem has plaugued the Huskers for at least 3 years now.

And when Taylor wasn't this hot? Were we running?

Pitt- 174 on 48

Wake- 120 on 30

Maine- 121 on 42

Sure looks like it.

Can you, for just a couple posts, stay with the same argument? Or are we gonna jump from one to the other all afternoon?

and we scored in bunches in those first three games...

hung 25 on I-AA Maine, smokin...

thrashed Wake 31-3, when the Blackshirts accounted for all the scoring in the first half...

had the "cardiac" game against Pittsburgh, in which two FG attempts got blocked...

Our offense has been something less than to be desired up until yesterday. Our defense is almost entirely the sole reason we're 4-0.

Ok, here's the problem I have. First you start off babbling about how a program's offensive philosophy shouldn't change. Then you you cited the lack of rushing as our problem despite the fact we haven't had a lack of rushing until the latest game in which we didn't even need to run. Then let's switch to the lack of scoring because your other arguments got shot down. To top it off let's throw in the incredible play of the defense to explain why we're undefeated so you don't need to feel bad about ragging on an undefeated team. This is like talking to Benard; is it impossible for you to respond to arguments against your own? Or are we going to jump from one to the next?

Our defense gave up over 300 yards passing yesterday and were not able to consistantly stop ISU. The fact that our offense dominated time of possession by moving the ball is what won the game. Its hard to score when you dont have the ball.

Ok, I was just making points, but here's the bottom line...

How big of an f-tard does it take to call a pass play on 2nd and goal from the 2? A call that could have cost us the ball game? Then we run it on 3rd and goal from the two, and get to the half yard line.

What happened to the days of loading it up on the O-line, and smacking the D Line in the mouth, and punching the ball in the end zone? Maybe that's not a$$hat's coaching philosophy, but it's common sense.

I'm gonna say this once, but throwing the ball up that much is for friggin pansies. Oh yeah, it looks pretty on the highlight reels, but I miss the days of the ground and pound.

I remember when announcers used to list the number of pancake blocks somebody on the O line had?

Oh, wait i'm babbling, and I know nothing about football...

They're gone. This isn't a smashmouth team anymore, sorry.

Apparently the kind that likes to keep a defense off balance and try his best to get the ball into the endzone when his running game inside the 20 has been anemic.

Yea, yea. It's unwatchable to some people too. Stupid argument.

We don't have the O-line to brag about pancakes. And most of them are Solich's boys, remember?

Oh, wait i'm babbling, and I know nothing about football...
You are, I never said you know nothing about football. But to assume that a WCO coach running a modified Power I would be more effective than him running what he's been running his entire career pretty much implies it.

Keeping an defense off balance is throwing the ball 55 times? You'd think after about 30 attempts, they'd get the hint. Maybe that's shame on ISU D-coordinator.

Maybe it is, until somebody comes in, and slaps us in mouth like that. Which i'm hoping doesn't happen.

Did I ever even say that? The only thing i've kept saying, is the fact that it's stupid, yes STUPID, to throw the ball on short yardage situations. Especially when you're on the goal line, and the game is hanging in the balance? That's just retarded.
