Callahan: "Again a lack of Emotion and Intensity"

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
On the coaches show Callahan's first comment was the lack of itensity. He said they thought they had that taken care of after last week, but obviously not. "Well have to go back to the Blackboard." says Callahan. That is not coaching, what could possible be the problem. Play the damn game guys, you have the "N" on your helmit and the state behind you..now play

The players are in some kind of a revolt mode. They don't appreciate having three different coaches in three years

That true. I am looking forward to having the same coaching staff for more than a damn year.

Yes, I do beleive I agree with you

"We came up here to play a game that could put us in position for a championship and it obviously didn't get done," Nebraska coach Bill Callahan said. "We did not match the early passion and precision of this football team that we faced today and that's our fault."

"We didn't have the same passion or determination and grit that you need to win on the road," Callahan said. "And going on the road is tough, let's face it. You've got to win on the road to be a championship team and we didn't get that done."
Callahan said passion and intensity are critical because they produce mental alertness. That was a trait the Huskers seemed to lack.
