I have heard from several people who were at the bball game this week against Kansas and said the halftime introductions were screwed up. The paper and television made it sound as if the crowd went nuts when the introductions were made, but it was luke warm at best . There were more than a few fans that booed. Callahan reminded a lot of people of a Howard Dean like screaming rant. He made little sence and needed a script. He stuttered over a few parts, and had to check his notes several times at the end to remember the phrase "There is no Place Like Nebraska" and finish with a Go Big Red to save himself.
This is a guy who is supposed to be well prepared. I think the mainconcern could be the support for these coaches. I beleive a lot more people were hurt in all of this then we think. There is no trust right now and I really feel bad for these coaches because its not there fault.
Of course afterward, Pederson said the crowd was electric and thats what we need. I knew three people who went to this game and they all said it lacked all that and more.
