Naw, I don't sense dog-kicking anger in either of them and they usually both use capitalization, punctuation and produce a clear thought. I don't necessarily agree with them, but I can see a difference.

Why do a certain few get offended by what CBC supposedly did?
This is in the same neighborhood as the Doak saga. You will hear one side of the story, but not the other.
What made CBC infuriated? Was it the mother who incited the whole argument? What exactly was said to begin with?
Lets face the facts -- hundreds of recruits and coaches we have been in touch with and recruited over the past 3+ years in CBC's tenure have all the respect in the world for how genuine and kind they were to their players and coaches. Suddenly one sheds a bit of bad light, and we are going to take him at his word, when CBC cannot defend himself?
Seriously, can we kick this SoonerOLB to the curb? He wants honest discussion on a topic in which he is pointing out our coach supposedly goes off on a mother?
Hey, maybe the next time I hear a 'rumor' about another car coming off of Big Red Imports lot, I will make sure to run over to the Sooners board and see what type of response I get.

Seriously..I doubt he really (fully) made up his mind more than a few days before signing day No matter what he supposedly said to reporters... But it did take him a few attempts/hangups to let our coaches know..His bad.
But it's sorta like the aftermath of the OU/UO game where Stoops and even the Oklahoma Prez went to the media to complain about the bad calls that directly effected the outcome..And I probably would have too..But what was the bennefit?
A kid changes his mind about which school to go to..The timing sucks..Is it our responsibility to label him a "Prima Donna"? or CBC's to call his Mom and tell her she raised a bum?
Again..I don't know if any of this happened..But I'm concerned with future recruits believing it did.
A verbal commit is just that. A verbal commit. Not binding. In today's world, more than a few change their minds after verballing committing. I heard a story from one of the ppl from Rivals about a Auburn recruit who on signing day announced he was going to Auburn this yr. They had a big press setup at his school with Auburn colors going and and such. His family and coaches were there too. Well on the way to faxing his letter... he switched to FSU. Sent a letter of intent to them instead even catching them offguard. So the Lewis thing (and the Freeman text msg situation last yr) pale in comparison. We really can't get too upset knowing these things can and will happen in today's world.
(I still say he wasn't all that and if he wasn't ready to play LB where we needed him he probably was better off playing somewhere else.)

37, Lewis knew he wanted to decommit at the beginning of January. You can find that info on Scout's Oklahoma site as it was free info at the time.
The part about Harris and Lewis is in the same boat as what we have been led to believe about what happened between CBC and Lewis' mother -- gossip.
Does it make it any less true?
Recruits will get hit with negative recruiting regardless. This year certain schools where hit with racial stereotypes (Nebraska was one school which had this used against them). Do you really think these kids do not hear worse?

Kinda like Me telling Buckeye37 (my Wife) that I always knew I'd meet her someday..Or that I'm glad I waited until I was in my 40's to have Kids..Even though my aching Back is screaming at me for trying to teach my kindergardener how to steal 3rd Sunday.
It's pretty common for a new recruit or even a new employee to tell everyone who will listen.."I always dreamed of being a dishwasher here..That centerfielder job with the Mets was just a fall back position."
Most Student/athletes and their parents are smart enough to ignore what recruiters or some used car salesmen say about other schools..But everybody knows if it's on the net..It Must be true.
