I kind of agree, at this point it doesnt matter. In light of the the news recently, it's painfully obvious... his friend just got canned. And he knows his future here doesnt look good.

 
Everyone is trying to read between the lines. The tension of the unknown is really getting heavy around here.

 
maybe people are reaching for something? Or maybe it does point to something, it could go eitther way, so i wouldn't put too much stock in it.
