Now we all know is that when Callahan gets more than a 2 touchdown lead he will start to run the ball all the time. This is the thinking of football of the NFL. In the NFL there is only wins. In college you have to win and win with flair. The polls look down at 17-13 wins. In the NFL it's a win and one step closer to the playoffs. I have no problem running the ball because it helps the Defense, runs the clock down, quiets the crowd down, don't have int's. But it seems the Offense starts to go alot of 3 and outs, and just starts to play average. I would like to see Cally pass more and score more when we have more than a 2 td lead, but he won't. Once he has a lead he will run and bleed the clock down. My thinking is the same, I only care about a win. 3-0 or 70-0 38-35. It doesn't matter, only a win. But in college you have to win 35-3. The Huskers are just going to move up 1 or 2 spots everyweek. Callahan has to know you have to win big in college or the polls look down on the win. 6-1 leading the Big 12 North. Bowl bound. I agree with that assessment.

The only thing that the Second half "stall ball" did that was positive was save Taylor from getting knocked into oblivion. That's about it. :dunno

 
I rather run the ball, punt and let the defense win, than to throw it 50 times and get it picked off 4 times and blow a lead. We can debate both sides. Good news is we beat KSUcks 21-3.

 
Glad we won! But I agree here. Too many guys on this team want to make plays or at least given an opportunity to. You cant though. It's run, run, punt after a 7 point lead. Conservative. No aggressiveness. No guts. No glory. Go to the lockeroom. Victory.

I am kinda getting pissed at all the hate. We are 5-1 and leading the division. Some are already preparing their complaints after we "lose to Texas". Either your with us or against us. I could understand if we were 3-3 or something, but we are 5-1. BEAT TEXAS!

Like I have said before, there are a number of husker fans that wont be happy till every win is 77-0. We are not back to the elite juggernaught just yet. Take every win, especially on the road.

 
I think it's a good plan on the road, get the crowd out of the game then control the clock. At home though I think we should be a little more aggressive. Also you have to notice after we score a couple we start rotating a lot of players which will pay off in the long run in 2 ways: 1. Keeps the chances of guys not getting hurt. 2. Gets the young guys a lot of experience for the future.
