Camp Injury Updates

Was Bailey the one who came up when Burtch got hurt? The other options are Ty Bltka, Brett Classen, Blake Holtmeier and Conor Young assuming they stick with WRs which seems likely.

 
Reilly, Chris Jones and Burtch continue to be out. Riley said Reilly is expected back by Monday.

Jalin Barnett, Michael Decker and Antonio Reed were out today but nothing seems to be serious.

That's the sound of it. Was behind because he got here late and now injured. Had his arm in a sling today. Not sure how long he's out but it's sounding like it'll be a redshirt year.

 
Kind of got the feeling he was going to redshirt anyways from reading the linebacker updates.

Smart move for these guys to get it done now, even though i would like them practicing with the team.

 
Sounds like the coaches made the decision to have a number of true frosh put on the shelf with injuries. I don't mind that happening, especially if they were a long-shot to see the field this year. I would rather have them get the necessary surgeries, get acclimated to life as a college student, and get mental reps during team meetings and practices. Yes, practice time helps, but it's better to have these guys healthy for spring practice (and they could even get in practices in November/bowl season depending on the injury).
