Carricker article

He did play safety in high school.... not sure if we looked at at that position in college, but he certainly runs faster than pretty much every d lineman in teh country with the exception of a few, and that is the point, isnt it?

I dont care what his forty time is, He is beating McKeon in spring drills and McKeon ain't slow...
Exactly! That was my point really, to give props to how quick he is for his size, rather than start the 40 time debate again. I think that is dedhoarse . If Carriker is getting stronger and he can keep up with a safety converted to play middle linebacker, then I think Carriker is gonna wreck some sh#t this season!
Since when was Mckeon a safety? Outside linebacker possibly? Safety?
I'm pretty sure he played safety in high school and came to Nebraska as a Safety/OLB prospect.

Well if he did play it in high school he sure wasn't ranked as one coming out of it. He was recruited to play linebacker.

Did you notice at the bottom of that page it says he played in the Defensive Backfield, Outside Linebacker and Running Back? It said he could play any of those in college. Also Scout had him as a LB but said he was projected as a LB or Safety.

Alls I'm saying is he isn't no converted safety. If thats the case then Carriker is a converted qb because he played that in high school.

And if thats the case than Carriker still ran a faster sprint drill than our starting middle linebacker.... and that is still the point.
And if thats the case then why the heck would he be taken out on 3rd down passing situations.

He wasn't. Jay Moore and the 2 DT's would come out, Barry Turner, Ola, and Wali would come in, Carriker would move inside. Help me out someone if I am remembering something different than what actually happened.

Wow, I didn't know this kid was from my hometown!! We sure could've used him on our HS football team, haha. Too bad he went to Washington.

Seriously though, the guy was pretty much a beast last year.. and it sounds like he's gonna be much better this season.. wow! He should provide some nice entertainment this year in the way of puttin QBs on their ends.

You know, Benard...I've finally realized your strategy...ride the fence as long as possible, and when it meets your mediocrity, cash it in.

Here it is...why do you even care.

I say this because I know who you are. Someone who can't comprehend change...and that's fine. But I'll say I was like you. I hated how things were going. NU was just fine, and I thought it would always be the same.

But I've adapted, and if you've read my story on the poll ?, then you know why. But I think you enjoy being upset. In my profession, it's pretty common. But I am always willing to take chances with people that want to make a difference. No, Cally isn't "one of us". But I think he cares bigger than anything.

You've seen his actions. No, I don't agree with them, but I agree with his passion.

And that's a very tough thing to do when you're used to T.O. It's like interpreting a completely different language.

But it's ok...T.O. has moved on, and so have I. GBR, and GBCallahan. There is nothing to stop you...except your own pathetic 'fans'

What AR said. Don't let a few people steer the direction of the thread :)
That's all benard does, is try to get people mad. I have asked him to explain his views on various threads and all I have got is crickets. There is no reason why he should be on this board, he adds nothing. He isn't offering a varying opinion, he is taking over for ff and simply causing trouble.

Anyway, on topic. Carriker is going to have a huge year barring injury. No he wasn't taken out on third downs last year, Moore was. He would occasionaly move inside because of his size he was able to do this. If our D-Line stays healthy it should be one of the best in the country.
