He is number one on this top ten list at SI.

With so much attention being paid attention to character issues, the mature and likable Carriker would be a great addition to any team. The defensive end has gone from a late first-rounder to possibly a top-12 pick.

yea it looks like there's no way he's getting past St. Louis at 13. He's either gonna end up in Miami (9), San Fran (11, and this looks the most likely), or the Rams. It all depends on where Patrick Willis goes and the tailback situations facing teams looking to trade up for Peterson. Either way, good for Carriker.

It's been fun watching our players that entered the draft rise their stock. Carriker, Bradley, Jackson, Moore etc have all done great jobs at rising their stock for the draft this weekend. I'm anxious to see where they all land.

I wish the draft would just happen already. All this talk on all the sports shows has me nauseated.

I would think that the 49ers would be choicing between Willis and Carriker unless Alan Branch or Levi Brown would fall into their laps. I really can't wait for the draft as it gives all fans (even Lion fans) a reason for hope for the upcoming year.

It is amazing how much ESPN talks about it every f-ing day!!!!! It is a bit too much IMO. I hope AC lands in the top 10. Maybe the crappy Vikings will take him???? I wish!!!

How does players stocks rise when they haven't played a game in months? Are the so called experts getting out of thier tunnel vision?

The draft special on NFL network last night had Carriker going to St. Louis. They said he has the potential to be really good but he isn't a top 10 pick because they don't think he can be an every down player...

Someone explain to me how he's not an every down player, he ate up double teams every game for two years, is great against the run and better than he was able to show in our scheme against the pass.

The theory some shoot out about him not being an every down play is he is about .1 slower in the 40 than the top DEs. And by and large, that kind of stat difference doesnt mean anything come game time.

Players have thier stock go up and down based on things that are not on the feild related. Carriker is going up due to his character. He isnt getting out of shape with the time off, he is a hard worker, he doesnt get into legal trouble. With the NFL cracking down on off the feild problems, character becomes more and more important.
