Castile

he showed no imagination when it came to putting 2 or 3 backs in the backfield....hell, i can't ever remember when Jackson, Glenn and Lucky were EVER on the field at the same time, not one godamn time.........EVER. guess that would have been stupid, eh? guess we will never know, eh?
Exactly what I was referring to. They very easily could of used both Jackson and Lucky in the backfield last year, especially on pass plays to get more play makers on the field. Using Castille as a fullback on some sets gives BC the option of motioning lucky out of the backfield for mismatches in the passing game and still leaves him with a running threat behind Keller.

i agree, if past history is any indication Lucky and or Glenn may miss some time due to injuries. Castille could easily see action as a frosh, just as did Lucky and Glenn, only more so.
What about future history?

Sorry - just couldn't help myself... ;)

can we please keep focused on the present history
I was a history major in college, but this is starting to sound like time travel!

Well I suppose you are right about the RB's, thats the only possition he did'nt mix and match, good call.

I've heard that Castille is going to play fullback. Mendoza will be the feature back if anyone from the '07 class.
Castille was listed as a fullback on Scout and/or Rivals, mainly due to his size, but he was recruited as a running back for Nebraska. Though, I think it would be cool to line him up at FB is special situations, get more playmakers on the field that way.

i think we will need to shuffle and utilize as many guys as we can in the offensive formations. i hope cally doesn't get stale with his backfield formations, assuming some of the new kids can contribute.

It sounds like once again we are stocked at rb. Injuries to that group hurt us last year, so I don't think we will be bitten 2 years in a row. Hope for the best this year. Looks like a good year coming up.

GBR!!!

you ever said castille would play fullback is an idiot. im sure when you looked on rivals you seen him listed as a FB and thought that is where he will play. Castille is definitely physical ready, but obviously he needs to learn the playbook, which takes time. he definitely wont be a feature back but he will see some time on the field.
